Vo, Rath, and Resh were once three separate guardians of Insul-On. However, the many incursions of the Tumonic Raiders had taken its toll on each of them. Defending this stretch of jungle against the Raiders’ increasingly larger monstrosities would soon be impossible. This is where the legend gets a little murky. It is said that on one near-fatal raid, all three guardians had suffered fatal blows to their bodies. The goddess, Gaia, took it upon herself to swoop down and offer them a chance to continue their noble work, but on one condition – that they be merged in body and spirit. To this day, those that see Vorathresh say that it does not look like other hydras, but rather like a beast composed of three different beasts merged into one.
